We have the following internship opportunities in Computer ScienceDepartment IIT Bombay for our projects under Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan.
Development part :
Web Based IVR: As voice remains the primary interface for mobile phone usage in rural India, we propose a voice-based platform, accessible via even the simplest mobile phones. IVR (Interactive Voice Responses) systems have become a promising way for people in rural areas to request and publish information. Registered members interact with the platform by dialing a phone number and navigating simple automated prompts using touchtone keys or recording their voice. The purpose is to facilitate information communication and knowledge sharing through IVR amongst the rural population to strengthen and enhance agricultural practices and livelihood options with the goal of improving the economic condition of the farmers.
Android Apps:
An extension of the current robust web application is the Advisory system -- Android app. It lets you manage your organization for on-the-go with features like add and manage users and groups, contact support, and view audit logs for your organization.
The farmers will also be able to access videos through this app which will help them access stories of other farmers along with staying up-to-date with the agricultural technology. It has Google Drive APIs for storage and streaming from cloud.
The cart app is catered for the urban crowd which helps them buy various products through an easy-to-use UI. It supports utilities like checking for internet connectivity, else adding to a queue the users push or pull request from the server.
Research Part:
The purpose is to come up with a thorough, extensive and accurate algorithm that makes use of extensive pattern matching and machine learning algorithms to recommend relevant recommendation to users, based on feature vectors and certain other parameters. . It also involves studying user behaviour , running predictive strategies and suggesting relevant recommendations on regular timings. An efficient search algorithm and tagging of videos through classification mechanism.
